I agree with all the above comments. It's strange that the "Elders" or Gods that be go to such extemes to hunt people down and ruin their lives. Leaving this religion or having doubts is an act of treason and punishsed by emotional death!! These hounders should work for homeland security. They have tracking devices that will never be out dated. They would be making a whole lot of more money than they are now!!! Serious!! I need more coffee!!

can't see a lot posting in friends....too much of a risk.... it got me to thinking...even though many of us consider ourselves ex-jws, no longer believing, no longer active, no longer stepping foot in hall, no longer associating with jws other than family, it still is a risk to post your name or a photo.. the simple enjoyment of sharing real information such as a real name or a photo is dangerous to many here who, though they left of their own accord but not officially, could still be found out posting on an "apostate" board and hunted down like criminals and treated to harsh measures.

Our local radio station did a segment on this. They said the dog will get buried before Michael Jackson. The DJ's were speaking in a spanish accent and made some "Latino jokes" about dogs and such. I had to laugh. I love animals so don't send me Peta info.

The desperation of JWs hoping the end comes "soon"
by sir82 ini'm starting to sense a certain desperation among jws, that they feel that the great tribulation must start soon.
i think this is due, in many cases, to their own personal situation, financial or otherwise.. if the gt doesn't come soon, and these guys really start to suffer - what then?
the watchtower's promises that "jehovah would not forsake them if they put kingdom interests first" by skipping or dropping out of college, turning down promotions, "simplifying" their lives by selling their homes and moving to the hinterlands...will all prove to be meaningless.. if the gt doesn't come soon, and "jehovah" doesn't bail them out...then what?.

I have never seen a group of people that want the world to be destoyed so much!! Can't believe I actually thought it made sense. I predict "New Light" or a new understanding of what the Great Tribulation is, or for that matter the meaning of when Armageddon starts. They have to keep their members thinking that their world is ending. You only get one life and you should be able to live it!!!

the experts say it is healthy and to an extent i believe this.
how can it be healthy when you wake up shaking and trying to mouth "jehovah" or "help".

Freedom Fighter--WOW. Lightbulb moment. I am a cheesaholic!!! Had a slice of cheddar and some grapes before I went to bed. That sounds to easy though...
Warm milk was mentioned. To put it delicately----I can't have any liquid before bedtime or I will be in the "loo" all night. lol
Won't take sleeping pills or Tylenol P.M. because I have kids in the house, one with a medical condition.

I know dreams are our brains way of dealing with problems or situations that are occuring in our life. The experts say it is healthy and to an extent I believe this. How can it be healthy when you wake up shaking and trying to mouth "Jehovah" or "help". My heart also races to the point where you can hear the beating in your ears!!! These dreams have been going on for about two years now. This corresponds with our fade. I get the connection.
I haven't had the dreams lately and I thought that it was finally under control. WRONG. For a week now the dreams have been terrible. Yes, I know what triggered them. I had a confrontation with my mom that was horrible and the tears and the crying were heartbreaking from her. It made me sad and mad at the same time. Have not written about it because it's the same old story that everyone is dealing with when they fade and family is nearby. Nevertheless, the dreams came back. I am being chased and can't see who it is and I am trying to find my kids. Sometimes it's in forest, sometimes in my house. (That one is the worse). Last nights was a real hoot. I was at the convention by myself and everyone around me were people from my past---kids from kindergarten on up to high school, people from the neighborhood, old congregations. I was sitting backwards, weird I know. Someone was speaking from the platform and I turned and looked and it was my Mom. Yikes. Mother issues? The convention ends and I can't get out of the stadium and then the dream jumps back to my house where I'm being chased. Woke up hollering.
The connections are easy to see. Dang it, though, when will they end if ever? Oh--I am not on medication of any sort, I wan't drinking, and haven't done anything to compromise my bible trained conscience!! HEHEEE So for those who are experiencing these kind of dreams, and I am sure some of you are, remember you are not alone.
Thank goodness Freddie Kruger was in the movies!!!

Hello to all,
I just had to vent what happened to me today at my local pack your own grocery bag store. I won't name it, I am sure you can guess. This particular one is old and not very clean. But, you got to do what you got to do. I was waiting my turn in front of the grapes, they were .98. Good deal. Anyway, this mother was in front of me with a crap load of kids. There were two boys who looked around 10? They had lightsabers and were jumping around like they were auditioning for Star Wars. Well, guess what? I got it right in the arm. I know, it could have been worse but dang it what is wrong with these parents? I felt like taking the lightsaber and hitting the mom with it and saying "I'm fighting the dark forces".
I'll live. I will probably laugh later. My kids were young once too and I consider myself a very patient Mom, but c'mon show some common sense people.
Is it beer thirty yet?

i was doing a little modification on a dress, and i had some straight pins holding it together.
i had to try it on of course, and when i went to take it off i forgot about the straight pins.

If your baby went "poo" in their diaper you had to put the dirty mess in a platic bag and then in your diaper bag, or purse. I understand this to point. Why didn't any of the halls have trash cans outside? Never understood this. Trash service is NOT that expensive. My kids diaper ended up in our trunk of the car. Good times. Seriously, why wasn't their trash cans outside of the hall?
